Overview
During this lesson pupils will learn that public services are largely funded through the payment of taxes to the government. Pupils will learn that taxes are paid on income as well as goods and services.
Through case studies on the recent adoption of the sugar tax and the campaign to end taxation on female sanitary products, pupils will consider how governments change their taxation strategies in response to issues in society.
