New Activity Launched in the Kids' Zone

Consequences is a Decision Making tool which enables children to create stories for sharing based on tricky situations showing the outcomes that might result from different choices.

Thank you to children from Sundridge and Brasted CE Primary for creating the first stories!

 Persuasive Writing
56 of the very best letters entered into our Dear Prime Minister competition have been compiled in a book that is now available for purchase in the Go-Givers shop priced £5.99 (inc p&p). The letters are excellent examples of persuasive writing so the book is a great resource for literacy lessons. The depth of feeling the children display for a range of local, national and global issues will move you, and the wonderfully inventive ideas for making Britain a better place will have you laughing out loud!  KS2 Lesson
The lesson Scapegoat explores how stereotyping can lead to groups of people becoming scapegoats for all the ills in our society and looks in particular at Islamophobia and prejudice against Muslims. The Learning Activities encourage children to explore their own feelings about different groups of people that they may find threatening and looks at how images can be manipulated by the media to portray something in a positive or negative way.

 KS1 Lesson
The lesson To Give is to Receive tells a story adapted from a Japanese legend, about how a man gains a fortune by being kind and giving. The Learning Activities explore the value of money and ask the children to think about their needs, wants and wishes and to consider activities they can do, and gifts they can give, that don't cost any money.
