We knew very quickly that we wanted to improve our local park for our Make a Difference Challenge. One of the first things we did was a local walk to identify the issues.
¤
We found broken paving stones, litter, dog mess and fly tipping. In the park we found out that the toilets needed updating...yuck! There were signposts for a zoo but no animals.
¤
We did a questionnaire about Plashet Park and asked people what they would change. We wrote to important people to ask them about reinstating the zoo. We want it back!
¤
We then did speeches in the park. It was scary but very exciting. Our MP, Stephen Timms, came too, We drew plans for the park. Our project is still going on-we want to get it right
