Q. Why are we asked to register/log in to the teachers' section, since all resources are free?
A. It is helpful for the 'Go-Givers' team to know who is using the site. For example we can notify you of updates and send you email newsletters. We also want to keep the teachers section exclusive to teachers.
Q. My school doesn't seem to be recognised by Edubase, so I can't find my DfES number.
A. Edubase only recognises the complete school name. For example, it may not recognise initials such as 'C.P.' you may need to type 'Community Primary'.
Q.How can I view Powerpoint presentations in full screen?
A.We recommend that you save the presentation to your computer, and view as a 'slide show' (F5).
Q.How will I know when the animations have finished on a Powerpoint slide?
A.A green dot appears in the bottom right hand corner when the animations have finished.
Q.Why are the links in the Powerpoint slides not working?
A.The links will not work unless your computer is connected to the internet.
Q.Is it best to click on the links or PPT 2000?
A.When you click on the links you can see the presentation in PPT 2002 which is the optimum format (provided you have PPT 2002 installed on your machine).
Q.How can I tell whether I have Powerpoint 2000 or 2002?
A.Go to the registration page and run the test slide.
Q.How can I edit or add to a Powerpoint presentation?
A.Save the presentation to your computer, then edit as required.

A.Press F11 on your computer

Q.How can I exit from a video or a Powerpoint presentation when in full screen mode?
A.Press 'Escape'.
Q.Can I edit the lesson notes?
A.Using the 'select' tool in Acrobat Reader copy the text you want, and paste into a document as required.
Q.How should I use the text boxes in the Powerpoint presentations?
A.Text boxes have been included in some presentations to allow for the teacher to type in the children's contributions directly. Many have also been designed to be printed out and used by the children for recording purposes.
Q.How can I save an image of what is displayed on the screen?
A.Press 'Print Screen' on your keyboard, and paste into a new document.
Q.What is the point of inputting the children's birthdays?
A.When opening any of the Kindness Kit tools, a birthday cake will appear displaying the children's names on the appropriate dates.
